About Journal Genie

The Extension

Journal Genie started as a project to fill the gap left by LJ Juggler no longer being supported, but has quickly evolved into a tool designed for the Journal RP community.

The goal is to turn Journal Genie into a one-stop shop that both enhances and customizes the user experience. Account groups for organizing characters, bulk icon uploads for when you've got 50 new icons to add, custom themes because everyone likes their tools to look different – it's all built with the specific needs of journal RPers in mind.

The Developer

I'm Dash. I work in Software Development and I've been roleplaying since I was a teenager, in the dark old ages of Yahoo! Groups. I've rolled through everything from AIM (Skipped the Invision Board era) to dipping my toes in at Greatest Journal, the mass exodus from LiveJournal, the transition to Dreamwidth, and my own journey into InsaneJournal where I have developed too many OCs to reasonably live in my head.

I share my workspace with Lucy, a small white furry pup who was named after a Beatles song. She serves as both moral support and occasional keyboard warmer. If you catch me on Discord, prepare for an abundance of Lucy photos – you've been warned!
